Circle of Love
The Circle of Love was formed almost 40 years ago as a third circle for young women of the church. They meet once a month on the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. except for the summer months. The work of the Circle is to support the church and help promote some of its physical needs.
As part of the beautification of the church, the group has bought new decorations for the Friendship Hall as well as sprucing up the fall decorations in the main part of the church. They also take charge of the Advent decorations. They sponsor the Angel tree and the Memory tree during Advent. The Memory tree is decorated with pictures in memory of those who are passed away. The Angel tree is decorated with angels with families listed who need support at Christmas. The Angel tree is done in cooperation with the Fellowship Cup. This past year the circle has been the main drive toward getting a new floor in the kitchen and bathrooms in Friendship Hall.
The Circle of Love has sponsored a Palm Sunday roast beef dinner for the past several years. The funds from the free will offering are used to support their main mission –“Kids Against Hunger.” and local youth activities.
The Circle of Love has helped with the fall bazaar by taking charge of the general store table. Some members have helped can beef with the PW and have spent three meetings each year making homemade noodles to sell. They, also, make a chicken soup mix for the bazaar.
In addition to these service opportunities several members of the circle serve on a wedding committee which assists couples who get married in the church. They help with the arrangements answer any questions, and take care of putting the church back in order following the service.
The Circle of Love is very active in their support of the church in many ways including supporting the PW in their activities.
